UCODE 7

Our UCODE 7 IC EPC Gen2 RFID chip offers best-in-class performance and features for the most demanding RFID tagging applications. With its leading-edge RF performance for any given form factor, UCODE 7 enables long read distance and fast inventory of dense RFID tag populations. The UCODE 7 chip design enables manufacturing of global RFID labels with best-in-class performance over worldwide regulations. The device provides pre-serialization for 96-bit EPC, and a Parallel encoding feature that improves and simplifies the tag-initialization process. The UCODE 7 also offers a Tag Power Indicator that optimizes RFID tag initialization and a Product Status Flag for Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) applications.

UCODE 7m

NXP’s UCODE 7moffers a 32-bit user memory. UCODE 7m provides the same read and write performance as UCODE 7, so it enables the design of versatile, globally readable RFID labels that fit the requirements of the retail industry. The UCODE 7m is EPC Gen2 compliant and supports the same features as other UCODE 7 solutions, such as pre-serialization of the EPC, Parallel Encoding, Product Status Flag, and Tag Power Indicator.

UCODE 7xm and 7xm+

NXP’s UCODE 7xm and 7xm+, are designed for applications that require extended memory. UCODE 7xm / 7xm+ are equipped with a 1 kbit / 2 kbit user memory and a 448 bit EPC memory. Both devices add an untraceable feature to the list of standard UCODE 7 features, such as pre-serialization of the EPC, Parallel Encoding, Product Status Flag and Tag Power Indicator. For product authentication applications, the UCODE 7xm+ incorporates a Digital Signature based on a public key algorithm.

UCODE 8, UCODE 8m

The UCODE 8 series uses the latest technology and reflects the latest trends in online and offline retail applications. These new features and capabilities enable use beyond traditional inventory-management approaches that use handheld devices in the store, and support new product categories, including fresh food, medications, and other perishables. Smart product labels based on UCODE 8 are very compact and can be used in area-monitoring applications, including loss prevention programs. UCODE 8 delivers an industry-leading read sensitivity of -23 dBm and offers an Self Adjust feature, which makes it easier to track densely-packed items and deal with changing environmental conditions. The built-in brand identifier provides best-in-class protection against counterfeits and grey-market diversions. At the same time, UCODE 8 does more to protect the consumer, too, with a GS1-standardized privacy mode that protects services delivered beyond the point of sale.

UCODE DNA

UCODE DNA is the world's first RAIN RFID tag IC to combine long-range read performance with cryptographic authentication. That means developers don’t have to choose between contactless performance and the need for security in their applications; UCODE DNA enables them to have access to both in a single RAIN RFID tag IC. The new tag IC is ideal for use in a wide variety of applications, such as electronic road tolling, electronic vehicle registration, license plate authentication, access control, asset tracking, brand protection, and parking, as well as fast visitor processing and special service offerings at large scale venues, sports stadiums, and entertainment parks.

UCODE G2iL and G2iL+

With its industry-leading single-port read range, which enables simple antenna designs, the UCODE G2iL series is ideal for cost-effective RFID applications. UCODE G2iL+ offers several industry-first features such as tag tamper alarm, digital switch, data transfer, read protect, real read range reduction, and battery assist mode.

UCODE G2iM and UCODE G2iM+

NXP's UCODE G2iM series transponder ICs, the latest generation of UCODE products, are for use in applications that require more memory. In addition to its leading-edge read range and configurable 640-bit user memory, UCODE G2iM offers features like read protect, block write, and integrated Product Status Flag (PSF). UCODE G2iM+ adds to the list by offering an integrated tag tamper alarm, digital switch, external supply mode, and data-transfer mode. The UCODE G2iM+ also includes conditional, automatic real read range reduction, which lets the user define the activation condition. The 640-bit user memory in the UCODE G2iM+ can be segmented or configured to support EPC memory up to 448 bits
